Last year’s CRN Fast50 No.1 reseller Anittel has put two channel heavy hitters on its board as it sought to reassure the market that it was arresting its flagging fortunes.
Former Kaz Group executive Michael O’Sullivan was named director and chief operating officer while former Ingram Micro exectuive John Walters became an independent director.
But it failed to stir investors with Anittel shares steady by mid-afternoon on light volumes.
Kaz Group was the IT services provider founded by Anittel founder Peter Kazacos and bought by Telstra. Kazacos took over from Anittel chief executive officer Ilkka Tales in March, a week after the solutions provider reported poor results that included a 1200 percent dive in half-year profit. At the time, Anittel said it would lift organic growth after an intense period of acquisitions.
Kazacos said it was working to win business in converged services, telecommunications and hosting especially in small businesses.
Other key board members were company secretary Justyn Stedwell and non-executive director Campbell Corfe.
