Telco reseller Amaysim has launched a budget unlimited plan priced at $24.90 per month.
The new month-to-month offering from the SIM-only service provider includes unlimited national voice and text messages plus 1GB of data per month.
"This is all about giving people more choice and budget control when it comes to finding a BYO mobile plan to suit their needs," said Amaysim chief executive Julian Ogrin.
In addition to the low-cost unlimited plan, the Optus 4G mobile virtual network operator announced plans to add free international calls, SMS and MMS into its high-end plans.
The company stated that "in the coming months" its Unlimited 5GB and Unlimited 7GB plans would have 100 minutes of international voice to 32 countries bundled in, plus unlimited international SMS and MMS messaging.
“We’re just getting started on our drive to bring simplicity to prices, plans and mobile account management," said Ogrin.
Sydney-headquartered Amaysim – boasting more than 700,000 subscribers – floated on the ASX in July. In December, the reseller renewed its supply agreement with Optus for a second five-year term.
