The exclusive deal will see Altech as the sole distributor of J&W’s Intel and AMD based motherboards, featuring NVidia chipsets.
“J&W is a strong worldwide brand that was previously not open to the channel, they have strong relationships with NVidia, Intel and AMD which compliment our product range very well,” said Antony Sheen, managing director, Altech.
Sheen claimed that Altech had been keen to strike up a relationship with J&W due to its history in OEM and ODM. When the manufacturer entered the channel, Altech saw the opportunity and acted upon it almost immediately.
According to J&W, Altech’s strong channel base was a major incentive to partnering exclusively with the distributor.
“We chose Altech as our sole distributor in Australia because … they employ an open and aggressive management style through their sales, marketing, purchasing and technical staff, which suite our model well,” said Nelson Fung, sales manager, J&W.
J&W motherboards are currently available through Altech’s network of resellers.
