Veeam and Cisco have further cemented their strategic alliance with the news that Veeam will be added to the Cisco Global Price List in October.
The deal will allow Cisco partners to transact Veeam availability solutions "as easily and simply as any Cisco hardware or software product".
Cisco resellers will be able to order and deliver a complete availability solution with pre-validated designs through a streamlined order process that enables “one-stop shopping", according to a blog post from Veeam co-CEO and president Peter McKay.
"Cisco customers will have the reassurance that they’re buying an industry-leading availability solution. Our software passed Cisco’s interoperability testing, and it uses pre-validated designs so customers can meet stringent service-level objectives," McKay said.
The latest development follows two years of partnership between the two technology companies, which has seen the completion of numerous Cisco Validated Designs (CVDs). The pair announced in March that Veeam was working with Cisco to offer native snapshot capability for Cisco's HyperFlex hyperconverged systems.
CRN has reached out to Veeam and Cisco's local teams for detail on how this will impact in Australia.
