Alcatel appoints Avnet as a distie

Avnet Partner Solution has signed on to distribute Alcatel IP networking solutions across Australia.

Under the agreement, Avnet will distribute Alcatel's OmniSwitch, OmniStack and OmniAccess products to systems integrators, outsourcers and value-added resellers.

Mike Stein, country manager for Alcatel enterprise activities, said the partnership would bring together Alcatel’s IP communications products with Avnet’s local networking customer base.

Colin McKenna (pictured), Vice President of Avnet Partner Solutions said the relationship with Alcatel would see Avnet undertaking a marketing campaign to sign-up new resellers and systems integrators. The company would also promote Alcatel solutions within its existing partner network and to build upon Alcatel’s existing network of partners.
