Ajilon wins $3.4 million deal to deliver new student management system for Western Australia TAFE

Australian IT provider Ajilon will deliver a new student management system for Western Australia's TAFE sector.

The two-year project is estimated to be worth $3.4 million for Ajilon and was awarded by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development.

The replacement system comes under the state government's Student Business Process Reform Project (SBPRP), aimed at replacing a suite of bespoke student management systems that collectively only met some of the current student requirements.

Ajilon said it planned to deliver an off-the-shelf system with as little customisation as possible to cater for new and emerging needs within the training sector.

General manager of sales and solutions Charandeep Chhabra said the partnership would be an opportunity to further expand the company's footprint in the education sector. Ajilon recently won a multi-year contract with WA Department of Education and a project management contract with the Department of Education Services.

"As the education sector continues to adapt to new technologies and undergo rapid reforms, it is vital to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems so critical data and know-how isn’t lost along the way," he said.

"Ajilon is committed to supporting organisations in their digital transformation journey, so they can effectively thrive in today’s innovation-led economy."

Earlier this year, Ajilon was selected as a systems integrator for Sydney Trains' $276 million network overhaul.

The company operates in six states and employees a team of more than 1100 consultants.
