Adobe has tweaked its Creative Cloud for Teams offering, introduced several months ago, to offer single app pricing. Pricing for the single app - such as PhotoShop or InDesign - is $20 per month.
The new offering is still delivered both direct to consumers, or through Adobe’s channel partners. According to Steve Martin, Adobe head of channels for Australia and New Zealand, the single app pricing is aimed at SMB and large enterprise users who may not have the need for the full Creative Cloud for Teams suite, which costs $40 per month.
“Clearly, however, if someone needs two or more apps, then the full Creative Cloud for Teams at $40 per month is the way to go,” he told CRN. “This single app pricing brings Adobe products into the reach of individuals or businesses who may have a need for a single app, but may have found it too expensive under the old perpetual licensing models.”
A full year of single app pricing - which also includes any updates and enhancements to the product - therefore would cost $240.
Also offered for free with Creative Clouds for Teams is the creative social network Behance. Martin describes Behance as a place for creatives to show and share their work, or for organisations looking to hire a creative as a place to view portfolios and do recruting.
Creative Cloud for Teams also comes gratis with Adobe Cloud Storage. Although all files are stored on the user’s local machine, a file can also be uploaded to the cloud for a third party to manipulate and review.
“In the past there was no way for someone to review or manipulate a file, but Cloud Storage offers this service to all Creative Cloud for Teams customers,” said Martin.
Adobe’s single-app pricing is available immediately.
