CRN’s crack team has started judging the 2019 IMPACT Awards.
For those of you who live on desert islands, the IMPACT Awards celebrate channel players for projects that deliver the most impact to end customers or to the channel itself.
This year we received a record number of entries – more than 125 in total – with strong representation in the 11 categories.
- Digital Transformation
- Workforce Empowerment
- Modernising Infrastructure
- Trusted Systems
- Network Evolution
- Customer Experience
- Working Together
- Distribution Performance
- Innovation categories
- Exporting Innovation
- Emerging Innovator
- Evolving Innovator
Over the last few days, at least two members of the CRN team have reviewed every entry. We’ve suggested a few that belong in a different category, asked for a little clarification for some odd entries and even made sure that revealing winners won’t give rise to shareholder lawsuits. We've also compiled a long-list for consideration by our panel of judges.
We’re currently assembling that panel and while we can't name names, be assured we've only approached hardened channel veterans who know what makes customers happy, can spot margin-eroding over-servicing, and have vast experience assessing a project’s value.
Those panels will convene in coming weeks, culminating in the late April reveal of three finalists in each category, before the climax that is the awards night itself on May 23rd as part of CRN Pipeline 2019.
Speaking of which, some of you may have noticed the Pipeline 2019 agenda is live.
