See inside Equinix's 2000-rack Sydney data centre

This office building in an industrial area of Alexandria in Sydney may look unobtrusive, but is the biggest Equinix data centre in Sydney. Codenamed "SY3", the building has 2,000 racks currently and will eventually have enough capacity for 3,000 cabinets across 72,850 square feet - mission critical hardware not only for the likes of financial businesses and cloud services like Box, but also for local distributor Distribution Central.
Distribution Central this week showed off a "demo facility" inside the building where resellers can bring customers to see its CloudPOD services. While getting a first hand glimpse of the state of the art facility is perhaps not something every business will want, it's no doubt an effective sales tool.
