CRN's Simon Sharwood presenting the research
Here's his first slide: the average ISV employs 150 people! Which is outrageous: we had a couple of monster companies report this year. A median headcount of 13 seems more typical.
The research showed that ISVs are increasingly turning towards the channel - they're less interested in direct sales and intend to work through partners.
ISVs are also looking for resellers: in 2018 our research found just over half have resellers. In 2019 that rate hit 65 percent!
Next up: Richard Higgins, Strategic ISV Lead, Microsoft Australia, who explained how Microsoft can help ISVs with Azure and dedicated programs.
Tasha Soltonovich, Vendor Onboarding Manager, Cloud, Ingram Micro ANZ, explained how Ingram can help ISVs find new markets ... in Australia and around the world.
YiLun Miao, Director, Solution Consulting & PS, APJ for CloudBlue, Ingram, explained the CloudBlue platform.
