Around 200 people, including the Western Australian Premier and "elite" of the state's tech scene, converged on this scene in Perth this week for the official opening of NextDC's Perth data centre.
It's a milestone for the company that once described itself as the "Switzerland" of the data centre industry. The Perth facility is the fifth in their rollout and completes its push to establish a network of independent data centres across Australia.
