The new HTC Desire HD is here to make smartphone aficionados quiver with envy.

Out of the box...the 4.3in screen, minimalist design. We like.

Very curvy, unlike the iPhone 4.
Small design touches like this grill are reminiscent of the older HTC Desire.

HTC has gone the other direction to Apple, with a highly grippable rubberised backing.
Note the Vodafone SIM. The Desire HD is a Vodafone-only handset for the forseeable future.
