What's hot in security? We ask Enosys
Joseph Mesiti

What security technology and services do you specialise in?

Palo Alto Networks is our primary vendor. We are a security systems integrator that provides equipment sales as well as professional services.

When did your company first get involved in this area?

Probably since inception. We formed in 2011 as a security systems integrator and Palo Alto Networks was our first partnership.

Which are your security credentials?

The organisation is ISO27001 and ISO9001 certified. We are a platinum level partner, certified professional services partner and authorised service centre for Palo Alto Networks.

Who are your main distributors for security technology?

We work with Westcon and Distribution Central, as well as DNA Connect.

Heard about any cool developments in security lately?

An up and comer is called Tanium. It assists with the analysis of endpoint activity, looking for indicators of compromise, and then helps protect against breaches and outbreaks. Another is Dark Trace, which has a tool that by some maths and number-crunching, reduces the amount of focus or effort that non security-specific staff need to manage the cybersecurity environment.

Can you tell us about a recent security deployment you have done?

One that comes to mind is an integrated solution between Palo Alto Networks and Splunk deployed for the recent G20 conference. We deployed, in a matter of weeks, a solution that gave a customer the capability to review their infrastructure environment, and ensure they were conforming with what the federal government was asking them to achieve. Day in, day out, we also do complex firewall migrations.

What is driving customers’ security projects?

The mainstream media coverage of cybersecurity incidents and breaches has meant there has been a renewed focus on data security from the leadership within organisations. They understand they need to spend a lot more time and effort in protecting their organisations.

Information security is...

Essential for any modern business.
