We partner with Storagecraft, Probax and Dell AppAssure. We are just starting down the path of Microsoft’s Azure backup now as well but still early days.
When did your company first get involved in backup and disaster recovery?
Standard backup forever, but a dedicated monthly service offering for DR about four years ago.
What are your backup and DR credentials?
Our engineers have completed Dell and Storagecraft’s technical certification courses and we are looking at third party certification with the Business Continuity Institute.
Who are your main distributors for backup and DR?
ACA Pacific, Probax, Storagecraft and Dell.
Have you heard about any cool backup and DR tech recently?
Microsoft’s Azure Site Recovery is what we are most excited about at the moment. We think it has a lot of potential in the market.
Can you tell us about a recent backup and DR project?
We just completed a small proof of concept for a client’s line of business application up to Azure backup.
What is driving customers’ backup and DR projects?
An increasing reliance on technology for critical functions has shifted or perhaps matured the view from ‘do we have a backup’ to ‘how can we keep operating’. This is underpinning a lot of the demand we see.
