Vox pop: which public cloud provider is the best partner?

GOOGLE

Paul Mansfield, General manager, Asia Pacific, Cloud Sherpas

As a Google Premier Partner, my team has access to a wealth of resources, such as a partner development team, robust sales and technical training programs, and Google Enterprise Connect, a partner portal helping Google partners market their solutions. In addition, Google’s strong reputation and innovative cloud offerings have allowed us to transform some of the most iconic Australian brands. Our customers easily realise the value in these solutions once we implement them.  If our customers are happy, we’re happy. Cloud Sherpas has been working with Google since its inception in 2008. We’ve been awarded Google’s Enterprise of the Year award for three consecutive years: (2011, 2012 and 2013).

AWS

 Richard Stevens, Business director, ITOC

We are only a young company but we’re already an Advanced Consulting Partner and one of only a handful of accredited Managed Services Providers in ANZ. I’m not sure this would have been achievable with less progressive partner support. We were one of the first Australian AWS partners and a genuinely ‘born in the cloud’ company.  Partnering with AWS from our perspective is very simple.  We work on opportunities together and we make our money from consulting, technical services and managed services. Amazon’s key differentiator is that its granular API-driven platform makes it really easy and cost-effective for partners to build their own unique value-added solutions.

MICROSOFT

Nick Sone, General manager, Ensyst

At Ensyst, we strongly believe that Microsoft makes the best cloud partner. They are the only provider that offers an end-to-end cloud-based productivity suite through Azure, Office 365, InTune, Yammer and CRM Online that has the ability to natively integrate with existing on-premise and private cloud solutions. There is no doubt about the demand for this type of solution and Microsoft is continuing to invest heavily to meet these demands. Ensyst has been working with Azure-based solutions since Azure was launched. We invested in training on this platform as we believed that it would be the only public cloud platform offering customers end-to-end productivity solutions powering Microsoft applications.
