What SaaS brands and related services do you specialise in?
Tquila is a Salesforce platinum consulting and systems integrator partner specialising in delivering multi-cloud solutions to customers. We provide full services through dedicated practices: integration and CPQ billing, customer experience, digital IoT, and digital marketing. Our industry focus is on health, government, manufacturing and retail.
When did your company first get involved in this area?
Since its inception in 2014. Our two directors and co-founders, Ian Carpenter and Damian Noonan, brought a combined 30 years’ SaaS experience and a solid reputation. Prior to joining Tquila, I was SVP of a global software company providing SaaS to the hospitality industry.
What credentials and certifications does your business have that apply to SaaS delivery?
More than 100 Salesforce certifications covering expertise in multiple Salesforce clouds including sales, service, community, marketing and Pardot, CPQ and billing, and Field Service Lightning. We also have enterprise architecture and development Salesforce certifications.
What are the coolest or most interesting new developments in SaaS?
There’s still an ongoing trend towards consumption-based SaaS and other new ways to license software, benefitting customers with greater simplicity and lower costs. In terms of cool developments: artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics are becoming more accessible in today’s SaaS world.
Can you tell us about a recent major or particularly interesting SaaS deployment?
A business transformation project in the NDIS space where we helped the customer digitise their intake process using a Salesforce platform. This removed repetitive administrative tasks, so staff could provide better services to clients.
What factors are driving customer interest in SaaS?
Economies of scale, CAPEX reduction, cost-effectiveness and speed to market are still the key drivers. SaaS is now commoditised and mainstream, but Salesforce has addressed security and data sovereignty issues with their local data centres now in Australia, so the gates are now fully open for us.
SaaS is…
Being able to rapidly deploy business solutions, focusing on business process logic rather than IT infrastructure.
