We speak with sales manager Tony Vizza.
What IT security brands and services do you specialise in?
Check Point, Cisco, Juniper, Blue Coat and Symantec.
When did your company first get involved in this area?
Upon our foundation in 1989 – we’re very old hands in this space.
What are your security credentials?
Check Point – a three-star partner with three Check Point certified security engineers, plus we are an authorised collaborative partner; Cisco – a premier partner with advanced security architecture specialisation; Juniper – a select partner with security, routing and switching specialisations; Blue Coat – a certified partner with two Blue Coat certified proxy administrators; and Symantec – a platinum partner with certification across the portfolio.
Heard about any cool trends in the security space recently?
The biggest development is the proposed mandatory breach notification laws. We are doing lots of work with legal firms around helping businesses mitigate risk and exposure to cyber breaches. Most IT companies can’t and don’t convey the right message to boards.
Can you tell us about a recent security deployment you have done?
We have teamed up with an integrator partner to deliver and support a strong managed Check Point cyber security project to a large European media conglomerate focusing on the Asia-Pacific region.
What is driving customers’ security projects?
Fear, uncertainty and possible litigation
Security is…
Absolutely critical for your business. You wouldn’t leave your warehouse or office door wide open at night for thieves to come in. From an IT perspective, you wouldn’t leave your IT infrastructure wide open.
