Managed services and cloud are on a collision course as resellers and their customers look to software vendors to manage infrastructure.
1. Go hybrid
Verticals such as energy and architecture have heavier applications needs and may not desire public cloud; they want an MSP that scales and mixes their on-premise infrastructure with
the cloud.
2. Fit for purpose
Consider the context of your customer’s needs. They are looking for more than a multi-tenant, standardised system – they want what’s best for them.
3. Rethink outsourcing
It’s no longer just a way to arbitrage labour; it increases the operational readiness and agility of the business.
4. Bridge design and operations
Focus on the lifecycle of information mobility, management and sharing of information. Connect islands of automation and don’t tie all business processes together.
5. Outcome as a service
Resellers can look at ‘success managers’ that focus on ensuring a solution meets the customer’s needs and is not just a pick list of technologies.
