IT infrastructure management vendor Avocent has transferred Ed Havlik from its US office to assume the position of country manager for Australia and New Zealand.
While working in the US, Havlik managed partner relationships and established the organisation’s global relationships with CSC, EDS and IBM. Prior to Avocent US, he was the acting Japan country manager. During this time, he aligned the Avocent product offering in the Japanese market with local and international compliance requirements and established the company’s sales and channel partner programs.
Havlik brings more than 20 years of management, distribution and enterprise IT sales experience, including five years with Avocent in Japan and North America. In his new role in Australia, he will be responsible for driving the company’s Australian and New Zealand sales momentum and partner programs.
“Ed [Havlik] has brought significant success to his previous positions within Avocent and we look forward to the impact he will have on our ability to deliver quality business outcomes to our customers’ infrastructure management requirements in the ANZ market,” said Ryan Sia, vice president for Asia Pacific at Avocent.
Havlik is a graduate from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration – Marketing. Avocent has more than 1800 employees. Its sales, operations, research and development centres are located globally, with corporate headquarters in Alabama, USA and has had operations in Australia for more than six years.
