Brennan IT implements a multi-layered defence strategy to combat the increasingly sophisticated threats facing our customers. There is no single solution. We have capability and certifications in the following technologies: Microsoft, Fortinet, Mimecast, Sophos, Juniper, Nessus, LogRhythm, Clearpass, KnowBe4, TripWire and CyberAnt. 

When did your company first get involved in this area?

Brennan IT has had an active commitment to IT security since 1999. Security has been embedded in all of our managed services and independent consulting services. More recently, Brennan IT has established a standalone security practice to reflect the growing importance we see in security. This practice also includes consulting services, and higher-level business risk engagement. 

What are your security credentials?

Brennan IT has achieved ISO27001:2013 certification. This internationally recognised standard demonstrates our commitment to risk management.

We are seeing a growing demand for security services around cryptocurrency, payments and consulting services, as these become more mainstream. 

Can you tell us about a recent security deployment you have done?

Assisting a client through the ISO 27001:2013 certification process to help them: meet security expectations from stakeholder; enhance supplier security relations; improve security posture and reduces security incidents; and protect confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.

What is driving customers’ security strategies?

We help our customers with three distinct challenges: managing business risk, with multi-layer defence solutions, underpinned by security policies and specific controls to protect their environments; threat protection, with cyber-attacks on the rise; and data security and compliance with new legislation both here in Australia and in Europe.
