Facebook: A communication tool for IT resellers
Technology resellers are establishing pages for themselves on Facebook as a way to network with their peers and customers. A search on Facebook shows there are at least 60 IT resellers, with member numbers ranging from 871 to five. However it appears that Australian IT businesses are lacking presence on the social networking site.

Commander sells Nexon back to founders
Commander Communications has squeezed its way out of funding a likely cash outflow of approximately $9.1 million on 30 April 2008 for the purchase of Nexon Asia Pacific Pty Limited back in March 2007. Instead Commander has sold Nexon back to its original owners.

Microsoft’s Daylight Savings patch highlights problem for resellers
The decision by the State governments in New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, Tasmania and South Australia to synchronise and extend their daylight savings regimes has forced Microsoft to release a patch to resolve a technical glitch that users of its products will face with their PC clocks. Some resellers believe the patch will force users to take a serious look at the negative effects of ignoring patches.

Australia to get its own IT NASDAQ
In late 2008, Australia will have its own specialist exchange for technology companies, similar to NASDAQ in the United States and AIM in the United Kingdom. It will be dubbed the Asia Pacific Technology Exchange (APTEX), with an expected 20 companies to be listed when it opens.
