Datacom Australia chief executive Theresa Eyssens has parted ways with the company after just six months in the top job.
Eyssens confirmed that she had departed at the end of last week.
The former CEO said that while the company supported her strategic vision, the "breadth, depth, and especially the pace of change" was a point of disagreement that led to her departure.
"It's disappointing for both Datacom and myself. We've accomplished a lot in the six months, like improving the profit outlook," Eyssens said. "It's a great company. I wish it nothing but the best."
Eyssens' name was listed on the Datacom executives list on its website yesterday but has been removed as of today.
Datacom Group chief executive Jonathan Ladd has stepped in as head of Australia, said a company spokesperson, adding: "Theresa Eyssens joined Datacom Group in August of last year and has chosen to look for opportunities elsewhere. We wish her every success."
With extensive experience in IBM consulting, Eyssens was appointed as Datacom Australia CEO in August after the company went on an eight-month search. Her predecessor Peter Wilson departed in December 2013 after two years in the post.
Datacom, a New Zealand company, upped its net profit by 43 percent for the 2014 financial year, although the Australian arm was lagging.
"Datacom Australia and South East Asia revenue was down on last year, reflecting a depressed IT project spend in the Australian market during calendar 2013," the company stated at the time.
Eyssens told CRN that she is currently enjoying spending time with her family and is on the lookout for the next opportunity.
"I'm looking for a position where my passion, energy and talent can be put to good use," Eyssens said. "At Datacom, my passion was for the hybrid cloud, and for my next role I'll be on the lookout for something in that intersection between business and technology.
"I haven't spent much time home in the last two years – I would like to reconnect with my kids and husband."
