Sydney distie DPSA spots Asian opportunity

Sydney based data centre solution distributor DPSA has announced its expansion into Asia.

The Schneider Electric partner has hired two new staff in Singapore, and chief executive officer Jacques Tesson said the company is seeing a strong pipeline of projects in Asia.

“Our vendor partners have identified a gap in their distribution model in Singapore,” he stated. “We exhibited at Data Center Dynamics Converged in Singapore last month and the response was huge. We have a healthy pipeline of projects already and I’m excited about the possibilities we’re seeing in that market.”

To support the expansion, DPSA has hired Louis Loy as sales director in Singapore. He has worked in ICT for five years in Singapore, and will continue to work closely with DPSA’s vendor partners: APC by Schneider Electric, SendQuick, SpamTitan, TTK and Zellabox.

DPSA has also hired 20-year veteran Frank Yu as its head of logistics in Sydney. His responsibilities will include inventory management, domestic and international freight management, managing relationships with freight partners, and streamlining internal processes

The expansion comes after DPSA successfully launched in Papua New Guinea in 2013.

DPSA counts among its partners APC by Schneider Electric, Extreme Networks, G Data, Pelco, Premlite, Schneider Electric, SendQuick, SpamTitan, TTK and Zellabox. The company has staff in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Port Moresby and Singapore
