Kaseya has been announced as the winner of prominent integrator Datacom Australia's tender for the provision of cloud monitoring services.
"We identified the need to replace and consolidate several of our monitoring tools that had become tired over a long period of time," said Rob Purdy, director of cloud and tools for Datacom Australia. "Kaseya ticked all the boxes."
Datacom would not reveal what solution Kaseya replaced.
Dermot McCann, Kaseya's managing director for ANZ, said partnerships were crucial for market acceptance of the vendor's transition into an "IT management cloud company". Datacom New Zealand had already been using Kaseya's products since July.
"We have had a lot of early successes together and are looking forward to continuing to facilitate increased efficiency and adoption of our combined cloud IT management tools," said McCann.
The products selected by Datacom Australia – cloud monitor Traverse and systems management platform Virtual System Administrator Professional – were chosen after "a highly competitive tender process", according to a statement from Kaseya.
"The ability for Kaseya’s solutions to help reduce maintenance repairs while identifying and solving issues quickly, was also a key factor in selecting the company as its preferred partner," said Purdy.
Kiwi-owned Datacom's previous experience with Kaseya in its homeland did have a bearing on the Australian arm's selection.
"Kaseya has impressed us right from the word go." Purdy said. "From the high level of customer service to the ease of setting up the infrastructure within a tight timeframe, the partnership has been truly seamless."
Kaseya conducts its operations entirely through the channel in Australia and just last month CRN reported the company updated its partner program. The cloud IT management software vendor has more than 20,000 clients in more than 20 countries, according to a statement from the company.
Datacom has revenues of over $805 million and employs over 3600 staff across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The New Zealand-owned reseller is celebrating its 50th birthday next year.
