Data#3 has announced a cloud contract win with one of the largest Queensland-based law firms.
The "multi-year" agreement is with McInnes Wilson Lawyers, which has more than 200 staff and offices in Brisbane, Southport, Maroochydore and an affiliate office in Sydney.
The law firm has signed up for Infrastructure as a Service under a flexible pricing model. "With multiple office locations, and our physical server and storage hardware due for a refresh, it made sense for us to move to a hosted cloud infrastructure platform," said McInnes Wilson Lawyers CIO, Russell Seenan, in a statement.
The deal is a "strategic win" for Data#3 in a "very competitive cloud computing market", according to a statement by group general manager Laurence Baynham.
Earlier this Baynham said managed solutions and cloud services were the fastest-growing business within Data#3. The company's general manager of managed solutions, Sue Carter, predicted that the reseller had "the opportunity to lead the way for Australian organisations in the cloud computing domain."
Last year Data#3 announced a restructure, including a key focus on infrastructure solutions.
