Start-up solutions and ICT managed services provider, mbits, has taken out the No.1 spot in the inaugural CRN Fast50 list, it was revealed last night.
Based in Queanbeyan 20 kilometres outside of Canberra, mbits had 581 percent growth in the FY09 over FY08 making it the fastest growing reseller and winner of the channel's first ever Fast50 list.
CRN has awarded mbits with a $75,000 prize which includes a $60,000 advertising package and a $15,000 consulting program.
mbits' founder Eugene Nolan accepted the award during an exclusive event hosted by CRN at an inner-city venue in Sydney last night.
Nolan thanked distributor Ingram Micro and vendor partner Juniper as well as his staff.
"We would not be where we are without them," he said.
mbits customers are small to mid sized government agencies and the reseller provides solutions and services covering networks, field support cross platform services and a host more.
The reseller also provides a software-as-a-service called TenderingBits.
After months of deliberation, sifting through hundreds of applications, confirmations and checks, CRN has also unveiled the top ten fastest growing resellers at the event.
Guests included the Fast50's top ten resellers and vendor sponsors and distributors.
The full list, including profiles of the top ten and in-depth analysis of the data collated from the Fast50, which details where the Fast50 are based, what the Fast50 sold, how they sold it and who they sold it to, can be found in the print issue of CRN out next week.
