Zultys breathes life into its Australian channel
Previously troubled IP telephony vendor Zultys has outlined plans to resume business as usual across Australia and New Zealand, despite the firm’s recent problems.

Zultys filled under Chapter 11 last year and many channel partners worldwide were left in limbo about the future of the vendor.

However, last year Zultys was acquired by US outfit Pivot VoIP, which is backed by telephony vendor Telrad Connegy.

Martin Trigg, regional director for A/NZ at Zultys, said the vendor was optimistic about its future in the Australian market.

“We have restarted the Zultys office in Australia and the Zultys brand will remain moving forward.”

Trigg said Zultys plan to ensure it offers the appropriate support to the local channel partners which have stuck by the vendor.

“In the past the Australian market was significant for Zultys and after being acquired by Pivot we have bought back all the engineers, most of which have been with Zultys from the beginning.”

Trigg said its channel partners are not concerned about Zultys’ previous problems and resellers have been reassured that Zultys is fully committed to the Australian market.

“All of the resellers who were with us prior to the issues are still with us. We have 40 resellers across the local region, but we are not looking to expand our reseller base at the moment. We want to support our current partners first,” added Trigg.
