According to Zylotech’s board “the after tax net present value of the deal totals $11 million dollars, over the first 2.5 years of the agreement”.
Under the agreement Zylotech will distribute VIVOtech’s COTS products in Australia and NZ. This will compliment Zylotech products with counter terrorism capabilities for government agencies and infrastructure operators.
VIVOtech will distribute Zylotech’s ‘Smart-G Enterprise Protection’ suite of software in Asia, Europe and the US, where Zylotech has no representation.
Zylotech will also provide training and support for VIVOtech’s sub-distributors and resellers in the South Pacific region.
Eddy Lan, president of VIVOtech said the two companies have been working together in developing mutual offerings for many years.
“We have partnered with Zylotech after a thorough investigation of its software because it exploits the features of our hardware,” he said.
The distribution agreement comes off the back of Zylotech’s announcement that it will partner with NEC to provide Zylotech products for NEC’s national security project with the Australian Federal Police, an 'island resort' and 'rail tansport'.
