Xero Australia has appointed Trent Innes as managing director to replace Chris Ridd, who resigned after five years in the job.
In a statement, the company said Ridd will step down as managing director at the end of its financial year on 31 March and will continue on as an advisor for Xero throughout 2016.
“Chris has led Xero’s extraordinary growth and success in the Australian market, and has helped established Xero as the largest cloud accounting software in this market," said Xero’s chief marking and business officer Andy Lark.
“During his time at Xero, Chris built a strong and deep leadership team in Australia and, as proof of Xero Australia’s strong bench, we are delighted to announce Trent Innes as managing director following an extensive global search,”
Innes has significant management experience having worked alongside Ridd for the past three years as Xero’s national sales director.
Prior to Xero, Innes was the national sales manager for the Microsoft Business Group in Australia, managing the ERP and CRM business.
Xero Australia is an online accounting software company aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.
