Earlier this month security player WatchGuard used its Asia Pacific Distributors Conference in Thailand to present WhiteGold with its latest accolade.
The award follows on from landing distributor of the year for Australia from Fortinet in December last year and the same award for A/NZ from Barracuda in October.
“We have stuck to our business model vehemently and shown that it works,” said Dominic Whitehand, managing director of WhiteGold. “We have tweaked a few strategies here and there, but usually only to suit channel partners’ approaches to their customers, when assisting them in growing their revenues through smart marketing.”
Whitehand said this year the firm plans to roll out extended warranty and support services to further complement its existing evaluation and warranty programs.
“This year’s awards highlight how well we interact with our vendor teams and how serious we are in seeking out how best to grow their market share,” he said. “Our real advantage is our ‘customer experience’. This is the term we use to encompass the levels of support, service and business development that our partners enjoy.”
Whitehand said he is looking to grow the distributor’s vendor stable to not only facilitate growth, but to keep in line with what the firm’s channel partners are demanding.
“You will see a number of new additions to our portfolio over the coming months particularly in our new technology divisions of networking and storage. However we will be careful not to spread ourselves too thinly as we need to maintain that niche feel for all of our channel and vendor partners,” added Whitehand.
