She will be responsible for all APAC operations and growth in that region and report to Dean Douglas, president and CEO.
The company is also planning an imminent expansion into Vietnam as it continues to pursue its growth strategy around emerging markets.

"Currently, we maintain very strong market share in each of the manufacturer lines we carry; we will look to continue driving this momentum on behalf of our vendors while leveraging our unique global offerings and service capabilities for our customers."
Dean Douglas CEO Westcon said O'Keeffe joined the company in 2001 and has years of senior level experience and a proven track record.
"As managing director, she led Westcon Group Australia to 36 consecutive quarters of outstanding performance and has helped our New Zealand operations grow at a rate of 35 percent each year for the past three years," he said.
"We are excited that she has taken on this new challenge as we expand on the success of our Asia Pacific operations."
In addition to offering solutions in convergence, security, storage and services to the Asia-Pacific market, Westcon is also able to scale its other global resources into the region, such as its GPS (Global Procurement Services).
Scott McKinnel, regional director, A/NZ, Check Point Software, said it has enjoyed a great working relationship with O'Keeffe for many years.
Similarly, David Henderson, general manager Partner and Alliances A/NZ EMC, said the APAC market is important for EMC and it looks forward to strengthening its relationship with both Wendy and Westcon Group as Westcon increases its investments in that region.
