Westcon-Comstor is recruiting for a new Australian sales director, as David Hook prepares to return to New Zealand.
Hook will remain in the Australian role helping to appoint his successor, then will remain with the distributor in an as-yet unconfirmed capacity spanning Australia & New Zealand.
He took the Australian role in November 2014, however, after more than 18 months of commuting across the Tasman, he told CRN he had made the decision to return to New Zealand to be closer to his family.
Dave Rosenberg, Westcon-Comstor VP of Australia and New Zealand, said he was glad to have Hook's support in recruiting the new sales director. "David is pivotal in finding a replacement for his role, to ensure we retain consistency, capability and cultural fit within the business. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to drive a dynamic, Australian sales team to continue the excellent work David has been doing."
Hook has led the sales organisation during a pivotal time for the distributor, as it brought together its existing Westcon brand with international business unit Comstor, which focuses predominantly on flagship vendor Cisco.
