Distributor Westan has added NAS device supplier Sanmina SCI Corporation and German hardware manufacturer Hush Technologies to its vendor ranks.
The distributor would sell Sanmina’s 1TB NA-1400 NAS device, a product that Westan’s storage and server product manager Geoff Bull feels offers resellers an opportunity to sell a high-quality device into the SMB market.
“The small to medium resellers are looking for a product that is easy to connect and provides a margin. The NA-1400 is that product,” he said.
The Ethernet-attached NAS uses RAID 0, 1 and 5 technologies and comes in one and two terabyte configurations.
A new agreement with Hush sees Westan distributing the Koenig HUSH Media Centre is compatible with the platforms such as the AMD Athlon 64 4000+ and Intel ViiV. The system is configurable with up to 500GB of disk space.
