Wavelink has been appointed as the first Australian distributor for healthcare communications provider Spok.
US-based Spok, formerly USA Mobility Wireless and Amcom Software, employs more than 600 people across its eight offices in the US. Spok also has an office in Perth.
Wavelink will supply Spok's solutions to its existing resellers as well as its own 300 reseller partners across Australia and New Zealand. Spok's solutions include alerting software, hardware, maintenance and services.
Spok claims its Care Connect enterprise healthcare communications platform is flexible, spanning voice, messaging, alarms, and alerts across many different devices. The directory, scheduling, and preference data enable the right people to be reached around the clock.
Wavelink managing director Ilan Rubin said: "Spok Care Connect complements the work we are doing within the Wavelink health practice. Our focus is to identify and deliver the clinical applications healthcare professionals need to improve patient care and provider responsiveness.
"This partnership is another step forward for Wavelink in developing a range of messaging and application solutions offerings for partners and customers."
Spok Care Connect integrates with existing hospital workflows to deliver information quickly and securely into the hands of the clinicians who need to act on it.
