Volante has announced its intentions to acquire an unnamed local software company to boost its professional services credentials.
The company is offering $5 million in cash paid over two financial years with the option for additional payments based on performance hurdles.
The deal is expected to be complete in the second half of FY06.
Volante CEO Ian Penman said in an ASX statement that the move was aimed at offering its customers a broader services offering and would assist the company in winning additional services-based business.
In related news, Commander said in an ASX statement yesterday that it would extend its offer for Volante shares to 9 March. The company’s original offer was slated to end on 10 February.
