Networking security vendor WatchGuard has honoured its top performing Australian partners of 2018 at its Asia-Pacific WatchGuard Apogee conference in Vietnam.
Sydney-headquartered Viatek took the top honour of ANZ partner of the year, while managed services upstart TribeTech won new partner of the year for achieving Gold status shortly after becoming a WatchGuard partner.
Adelaide-based Calvert Technologies scooped marketing program of the year with its “Secure Adelaide” event and Perth-based Silverfern IT took home project of the year, a deployment of a large multi-firewall for a WA state government agency.
“We’re very honoured to have been awarded WatchGuard partner of the year for Australia and New Zealand. This is great recognition for the entire Viatek team across sales, technical consulting, delivery and operations,” Viatek chief operating officer William Gibb said.
“We’re looking forward to continuing the successful partnership and collaborating with WatchGuard to improve the security posture of mid-size businesses in Australia.”
TribeTech director Scott Atkinson said the company is “extremely humbled” with the recognition.
“We have a strong focus on security for all solutions we deliver. The WatchGuardONE program is an excellent fit and has allowed us to quickly accelerate our security practice across multiple areas,” Atkinson said.
“Many thanks to the team at WatchGuard who worked closely with us to help drive our success.”
WatchGuard APJ vice president Sylvain Lejeune said 2018 was successful for Watchguard, with more partners transitioning to offer cloud-hosted security solutions.
“We were thrilled to welcome our top performing partners to the WatchGuard Apogee conference from locations right across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia,” Lejeune said.
“We are thrilled with the support and feedback we receive from our partners and resellers and look forward to rewarding them with another really memorable experience in 2020.”
