The VMware, Cisco and EMC vendor alliance (VCE) has signed up Westcon Group as its distributor across the Asia Pacific.
VCE partners jointly offer the Vblock 'converged infrastructure' platform, including server, data storage and networking equipment for virtualised data centres.
Westcon will offer the full portfolio of VCE converged infrastructure systems.
The distributor's vice president of global technology strategies Patty Gray said the Asia Pacific region had huge opportunities for customer adoption of cloud.
“It takes the right partner with the right mix of experience and global reach to get the job done,” Gray said in a statement.
“We’re honored that one of the top providers of converged infrastructures has chosen to accelerate its distribution strategy in Asia Pacific with the help of Westcon.”
Westcon counts the likes of Brocade, Fujitsu, Cisco and Avaya among its current vendor partners.
Cisco, EMC and VMware also recently joined forces to offer IT training on cloud computing, data centre and big data technologies.
The three extended their partnership earlier this year by bundling existing training courses at various pricing tiers through each vendor's training portal.
