New South Wales government buyers will soon procure IT products and services from a new marketplace based on ServiceNow and deployed by UXC Keystone.

ServiceNow and the UXC division were selected by the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (DFSI) to provide the primary platform for the new GovDC Marketplace.

ServiceNow's Service Catalog was selected for the vendor services requirement and UXC's KeySite for the CMS requirement of the project.

Government agencies will use the marketplace to "enquire about and procure the services of approved ICT vendors", according to ServiceNow.

Approved vendors are able to offer services to government agencies via GovDC Cloudconnect.

Pedro Harris, executive director of government technology platforms at DFSI, said the ServiceNow platform would connect agencies and vendors. "To improve service quality, all government agencies are required to migrate to GovDC by August 2017. This consolidation will mean a significant reduction in ICT service costs, and the GovDC Marketplace will connect agencies and suppliers in a way never before possible."

UXC business development manager Joss Keep said: "Leveraging KeySite for an enhanced user experience and the power of the ServiceNow platform, UXC Keystone have accelerated DFSI’s time to value. We look forward to supporting the Department, their marketplace service providers and other NSW agencies in subsequent phases to deliver seamless process automation and orchestration."
