Trend Micro has agreed to extend the contract for its current email and attachment scanning service to MSN Hotmail customers.
NASDAQ-listed Trend Micro said its 2004 agreement with MSN has been extended, and would continue to provide real-time antivirus scanning and cleaning protection for around 230 million Hotmail email accounts.
The agreement provides users of MSN Hotmail with scanning and detection services that offer protection from viruses, Trojans, worms and other malicious threats when emails and attachments were sent or received.
