NetApp has had its contract with Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) for managed storage solutions increase from $28 million to $35.2 million.
The increase in the value of the NetApp contract is the result of the NSW government agency exercising a 12-month extension option, as well as an expansion of scope to include storage services supporting operational technology environments.
The contract was initially awarded in February 2023 for 12 months for a value of just over $20 million before initially being extended until 31 January 2026.
"The NetApp managed services contract provides Transport for NSW with a secure, reliable and enterprise grade data storage environment," a Transport for NSW spokesperson told techpartner.news.
"NetApp is responsible for monitoring, managing and maintaining Transport’s storage platforms to support internal systems and services."
TfNSW also increased the value of its asset management solution contract with SAP consultancy Rizing from $40 million to $44 million.
The contract was previously increased in value in May of last year.
The Transport for NSW spokesperson said Rizing delivers a single asset management solution for all of Transport for NSW’s road assets.
"It improves efficiency through integration and automation, better access to road asset and work information, and new and improved capabilities to support business needs and outcomes," the spokesperson said.
