Tomizone joins D-Link under GAP

D-Link launched GAP globally on 02 February. It was designed to create partnerships with channel partners to co-develop solutions and services that meet varying customer requirements and help manage their business.

Under this agreement customers who use D-Link's selected products access to the Tomizone service, said Steve Simms, CEO of Tomizone.

"This agreement allows Tomizone some exclusive partner access within D-Link's global networks and from that same platform it will benefit from their global sales and distribution," said Simms.

He told CRN, a point of difference for the D-Link product which now has added functionality of a Wi-Fi Hotspot.

According Simms, Tomizone approached D-Link and both companies have been working together in this region for around two years.

"The actual Alliance discussions lasted less than 3 months," said Simms.

"D-Link is a core partner and key to our strategy to ensure that affordable Wi-Fi is available for the mass market.

"Tomizone will have access and support from the local offices in markets, like China and India which means that the product distribution, marketing and customer interaction becomes smoother."

Simms said an expanded range of devices will be available in time which will include the Tomizone service.
