Thomas Duryea Logicalis has achieved Cisco’s global gold certification on the back of the vendor appointing the title to the Australian managed services provider’s global parent Logicalis Group.

Logicalis Group was recognised by Cisco for its continued support and delivery of Cisco technologies and services at scale across the world.

Thomas Duryea Logicalis chief executive Michael Chanter said the announcement reinforced Logicalis’ credentials across the Cisco portfolio globally.

“Locally, Thomas Duryea Logicalis joins the ranks of only two other integrators to achieve this level of Cisco expertise - a clear reflection of our joint investment with Cisco, as well as the unique strategic and delivery capability we offer the Asia Pacific market,” he said.

TDL joins Dimension Data and IBM among the systems integrators bestowed with the title. Cisco has also anointed Netherlands-based Orange Business Services, UK-based BT and Sweden’s Ericsson as its telco and vendor global gold partners.

Mark Rogers, Logicalis Group chief executive said: “Logicalis is a multi-national organisation that completely understands the challenges of doing business around the world. We are really happy to see that our investments in our team skills, our solid business processes and our truly integrated operations around the globe are now recognised."

The certification extends Logicalis’ global services in hybrid IT, digital workplace, digital ready infrastructure and advisory and managed services, TDL said.

Cisco global gold, unveiled in May this year, is the networking giant's top certification partner tier, surpassing Cisco gold status. The Cisco certification tiers from lowest to highest now go: registered, select, premier, gold, global gold.

If a partner becomes global gold certified, the solution provider automatically receives Gold partner tier status in any country they're registered in.

There are several options for partners to obtain Global Gold, from meeting the requirements through a set of certifications or a "centre of excellence" in a particular region. A centre of excellence is a certain number of Cisco certified internetwork experts (CCEI's), business value practitioner specialists and amount of hybrid IT offers being sold per region.
