MYOB has praised a Western Australian business for its service to the Australian small-to-medium enterprise sector.

Perth-based Bookwiz Bookkeeping’s Martine Hoosen was named partner of the year at MYOB’s Partner Connect event held on the Gold Coast late last week.

The event recognised leaders in business advisory and accountancy, with a specific focus on online innovations driving change in the industry.

Hoosen started the business management company in 2000 and has since been named among “MYOB’s most valued resellers”.

“Working with MYOB for over 20 years has really helped me provide insightful and valuable solutions to my clients,” Hoosen said.

“Being part of the MYOB community is a huge achievement and I am very proud to have the recognition of partner of the year”.

MYOB general manager James Scollay thanked Hoosen for her contribution to the SME community. “Martine has a strong focus on ensuring her clients are educated in how to understand their business financial reports and also their understanding of compliance in the areas of BAS, payroll and superannuation.

“Martine is at the forefront of keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies that can really benefit her clients and her focus is always on helping her clients’ succeed; a vision that MYOB completely supports.”

The WA honour roll continued with Perth’s Jen Pryor, of Pryority Office Management Services, named newcomer of the year.

Kamara Wagstaff of Infinity Business Solutions in Victoria was gonged as innovator of the year, and Pam Chilman of Canberra’s Australian Management Control was given a lifetime achievement award.
