Tenable Network Security appoints first ANZ channel chief
Peter Raven, Tenable Networks

Tenable Network Security has announced the appointment of Peter Raven as the company’s first ANZ channel manager.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand IT channel, Raven most recently served as partner business manager for Samsung, where he sought to enhance distribution and drive revenue through the likes of Ingram Micro. Prior to that, he was channel systems manager for Cisco-owned network security vendor SourceFire.

Raven will be based in Sydney and take responsibility for developing Tenable's channel relationships as the company extends its reach into the Asia Pacific region. He was recently featured in CRN’s Channel Chief’s special.

Tenable’s Asia Pacific vice president Gary Jackson said his team was excited to have Raven lead the charge to foster successful relationships with distributors and resellers in the region.

“Peter’s ability to build and lead a highly successful channel program will help Tenable execute on its growth strategies in the region. This increased focus on the channel will also help us drive continued growth in APAC,” he said.

According to Raven, the growing complexity of IT environments has given impetus to the demand for security tools capable of addressing the emerging threat landscape brought on by new technologies.

“It’s important that resellers and vendors work closely to ensure customers deploy the right security solutions to meet the demands of the evolving threat environment.  I look forward to building strong alliances with our existing and future partners, and working together to bring next-generation cybersecurity to our shared customers,” he said.

Australian Tenable resellers include Content Security, Data#3, Seccom Global, Dimension Data, Enosys and Datacom TSS. The vendor’s local distributor is Arrow.
