Telstra has apologised for an outage on Saturday afternoon that directly affected around 75,000 NBN and ADSL customers.
Customers began complaining about the service outage around midday AEST, with #TelstraOutage still trending on Twitter on Saturday evening.
Reports of problems peaked at roughly 1pm, according to website Aussie Outages.
A Telstra spokesperson told CRN: "From around midday (AEST) to 4pm today some of our broadband customers were unable to establish an internet connection. Approximately 75,000 customers were directly affected.
"The issue has now been resolved and we apologise for any inconvenience.
The most recent incident follows a spate of embarrassing outages for Australia's No.1 carrier so far this year. On 9 February, a widespread problem knocked out mobile voice and data networks, with the outage later blamed on human error.
Telstra offered customers a free data day to make up for the problems – an offer the carrier had to repeat only a month later after another nationwide mobile service outage hit 4G, 3G and 2G networks on Thursday 17 March.
A third outage hit Telstra customers on 22 March, mostly in Victoria and Tasmania.
The telco has since earmarked $50 million to improve monitoring and capacity for its mobile network following the three high-profile outages.
