Telstra has quietly started selling retail internet services on the NBN fixed wireless network.
A spokesman for the telco told iTnews that Telstra would initially offer only the base speed tier of 12/1 Mbps.
"We expect to introduce a 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed tier next month," he said.
NBN Co added the 25/5 Mbps speed tier for fixed wireless back in June.
Telstra had been expected to start offering NBN fixed wireless services in the second half of this year.
News that it had made good on the timeline first appeared on the telco's Crowdsupport forums.
Pricing for the fixed wireless internet services is the same as for NBN fibre services already offered by Telstra.
Broadband-only plans start at $60 a month for 25 GB of quota. The plans currently top out at 500 GB options, either as a standalone internet service or as a bundle of other telecommunications services.
