Synnex helps Jabra expand beyond mass-market retail

Audio vendor Jabra is looking to expand beyond its traditional footprint in mass-market retail with the appointment of Synnex.

The distribution deal spans Jabra’s consumer product line, which includes its wireless sports audio, call-centric, music and in-car range.

The arrangement is "aimed at fuelling Jabra’s expansion strategy across Australia", according to Synnex.

Matt Segafredo, senior director of sales, ANZ mobile at Jabra, said: "With its deep local market expertise and broad regional network, we are delighted to be working with Synnex at such an exciting time, as we look to elevate our growth efforts and expand Jabra’s footprint across Australia.

"This partnership will provide Jabra with an even greater breadth of opportunity to achieve cut-through in new markets, beyond our traditional mass-market retailers. Importantly, we are confident that our innovative solutions, coupled with Synnex’s broad distribution, will enable both companies and the reseller community to generate new revenue streams and further drive growth,” he added.

Synnex has made a blitz of new vendor appointments in 2016, including gaming specialist Razeraccounting software provider MYOBpoint-of-sale manufacturer NCRmarketing automation company Act-Onbackup and DR vendor Barracuda as well as a host of cloud partners as part of its cloud marketplace launch.

Synnex Australia product director Jay Ko said: “One of Synnex’s key strategies is helping channel partners establish strong business models through ongoing revenue streams. This partnership adds another layer to our offering for channel partners giving them more products in the audio device solutions space.”
