Accounting software vendor MYOB has signed Synnex to distribute its business management solutions in Australia and New Zealand.
An MYOB spokesperson said it was the first accounting software vendor to sell through a cloud distribution portal.
Synnex become the first Australian distributor to offer services from Rackspace when it launched its cloud portal last month. The distie also recruited IBM Softlayer, Cirius, Nomadesk, BitTitan, Fenestrae and Egnyte for the launch of the Synnex Cloud Automation Platform.
Synnex Australia general manager of ecommerce and cloud services Michael Tea said the partnership paved the way for MYOB’s 4,000 developer partners to develop new solutions for Synnex’s cloud portal.
“As Synnex Australia developed its own Cloud Automation Platform, we have full flexibility to ensure we future-proof the roadmap for our cloud vendors and channel partners as we expand our Synnex cloud platform into the APAC region,” said Tea.
In the 2015 financial year ending 31 December, MYOB’s revenue grew 10 percent to reach $328 million. The company reached 170,000 online users at the end of the year, an increase of 46 percent year-on-year. MYOB’s cloud-only competitors reported 262,000 paying customers in Australia by 30 September 2015.
