Australian resellers Intalock and InfoTrust have scored victories at Symantec's Asia-Pacific partner awards.
Brisbane's Intalock was named partner of the year for the Pacific region, while Sydney's InfoTrust was honoured with an innovation partner of the year award for the entire Asia-Pacific.
"Our approach is to provide ongoing structured engagement that ensures customers have the best-practice configuration and therefore the best protection against advanced threats," said InfoTrust general manager Dane Meah. "We're proud that Symantec has recognised us for this innovative approach."
The security vendor handed out the awards at its Partner Engage 2015 Conference held in Singapore this week. The event was attended by 170 partners from across the Asia-Pacific.
"We’ve seen a real increase in demand for information security solutions," said Intalock chief operating officer Nikala Haber. "Cyber security is emerging as the top priority for CIOs as the popularity of cloud, mobility and IoT create new security risks that haven't been experienced before."
Symantec will complete its separation from Veritas to stand alone as a security company by the end of this year. A new partner program, Secure One, was announced earlier this month to reflect the change.
