Logica will offer Sybase’s mobility applications as part of its Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), supply chain and planning services.
The offering will be augmented by Logica’s outsourcing, systems integration, project management, information management and enterprise asset management, the company said in a statement.
Hugh Bickerstaff, managing director, Business Solutions, Logica, Australia, said: “The partnership with Sybase will further enhance our ability to help our customers achieve seamless and sustainable mobility across all modes of transportation.
“We will be primarily targeting the logistics and transport industry but will also approach the utilities and energy sector offering a suite of mobility solutions and services which have increasingly become a corporate necessity due to compliance issues.”
Bickerstaff said by working with Sybase, the two companies will combine their strengths, including their close customer relationships.
Steve Dolan, director Channels and Alliances, Sybase A/NZ said: “Together we will deliver solutions that meet the business requirements of emerging mobility projects, enabling companies to increase efficiencies in the supply chain and secure mission-critical tasks performed by a mobile field force.”
